This is a collaboration with fellow artist Maria Mahfooz. The work humorously explores the politics behind the modest swimwear the Burkini, which is notoriously known for being banned from beaches in Nice, France. The two Muslim artists adorn their Burkini's and celebrate on a home-made beach in front of a green screen, transporting themselves into a space that in reality, they may not actually be accepted in. In the background the song 'California girls' by Katy Perry plays but instead the chorus is changed to 'Pakistani girls' .
